Study Support

  • No computer?
  • Computer faulty?
  • Printer playing up?
  • Your child hasn’t quite understood their homework?
  • Teachers say your child needs to improve their homework; how?
  • Have little time to help your child with homework?

Heart of England School can help you for FREE

We are lucky to have an after school club called Study Support, where students can learn more, catch up and complete their homework with support from friendly, supportive and qualified teachers. Some students don’t quite understand the homework given and like to discuss it with other staff or pupils. Others would prefer to get their homework over and done with before going home to relax. Anyone can come along voluntarily, occasionally teachers may feel that students could benefit from extra support completing their homework and will request they attend. Whatever the reason, the school has provided this successful provision.

Sessions are available on a Tuesday and Thursday after school till 5pm, upstairs in the LRC/Library.  Most students that come along agree that it is fun, useful and potentially a great way of making more friends in a safe environment.

If you feel your child would benefit from extra support please encourage them to just turn up. It is voluntary, no need to book a place.
